OTSM-TRIZ for kids

What is it all about?

In the middle of 1975 the author of classical TRIZ came up with a conclusion that Classical TRIZ could perfectly work not only for Engineering and Technology but in many other domains. However not everybody who has learn Classical TRIZ (at that time just TRIZ) was able to apply TRIZ for various domain. G.Altshuller proposed to the USSR's TRIZ community start research and develops OTSM (Russian Acronym for General theory of Powerful Thinking). As a result of OTSM evolution new perception of the Classical TRIZ appears and new instruments were developed. Those instruments were tested in real world problem solving practice at various world-wide and small companies. Especially after Educational Program for post graduate people has started at INSA Strasbourg. Application of OTSM based instruments show additional opportunity they provide to deal with complex interdisciplinary projects and problem situations within those projects. Since year 2000 some more instruments were developed to handle this kind of situation. For Instance OTSM Problem Flow Networks approach. This approach replace paradigm of problem solving by new paradigm - Problem Management. In our rapidly change world it is not enough just solve one or set or system of problem. In order to be Innovative Sustainably it is necessary permanently mange flow of problems in your private life or business of your organization. We call this Sustainable Innovation. And we will discuss here with my friends what a Sustainable Innovation is and how OTSM-and Classical TRIZ could help you and your organization became sustainably innovative
